05 May Drive Safer Spring Launch Car Control Event Slated For May 19th At MetLife stadium
Recognizing that today’s teens are not fully prepared for the dangers that could possibly be awaiting them behind the wheel, an advanced driver education program is now available in New Jersey to help make teens, as well as drivers of all ages, better skilled motorists.
The Spring Launch Drive Safer event will be held between 10-3 pm on Sunday May 19th at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Each student will participate for approximately 5 hours, with various start times during the day.
Drive Safer offers a focused car control course that teaches how to control vehicles in the face of real world situations. The programs are designed to be safe, educational and fun. The course consists of a classroom session including tech education, followed by the experiential driving course that features four (4) “behind the wheel” exercises (Braking, Slalom, Skidpad and Hazard Avoidance) with certified high-performance driving instructors in a safe, controlled environment.
The instructors teach both in the vehicle and outside the vehicle as your teen observes others doing the exercises. To create the greatest sense of comfort and future skill recall, each student is required to take the course in the primary vehicle they will be driving.
If you can’t make it out on May 19th, don’t despair, the next Drive Safer event will be Sunday, June 9th at MetLife Stadium.
Drive Safer offers a behind the wheel defensive driving course and two other defensive driving course options that meets the criteria to deduct points from your license AND get you an insurance reduction.
